Thanks to the generous funding of the Infosys Foundation USA, we are back for another summer! We're offering PD & hardware at NO COST to public school teachers and librarians, and community library staff in America!

The BBC micro:bit is a powerful tool to use in the classroom - and outdoors! Join micro:bit Champion Amanda Jeane Strode and insect scientist Adam Lazarus to engage your students in the great outdoors through the portal of the micro:bit! 

This session will dive into a brand new curriculum of micro:bit activities designed to build students’ environmental literacy skills. No prior experience with micro:bit or environmentalism is required! This curriculum is aligned to CSTA and STEELS standards. 

Included Hardware:

  • Teacher participants in this course will receive 10 micro:bits!

Time Commitment and Scheduling:

  • All learning takes place virtually, from home.
  • Must attend a Session A, B, and C. Video makeup available.
  • Participants will have about 10 hours of asynchronous work to complete on their own.
  • Participants will also be invited to attend optional live sessions every Friday afternoon, mid-June through mid-August.

Beyond the hyperbolic fear mongering, the reality of AI is much more cooperative and creative than you think! In this course, we’ll use AI as our creative co-pilot, fueling innovative lessons and deeper student engagement. This hands-on course takes you beyond the hype, equipping you with practical AI tools and real-world applications for educators.


Participants will get hands-on with AI. We will explore and use powerful AI tools for students and educators, build a portfolio of projects built with AI, and learn ethical and responsible AI integration, ensuring technology complements, not replaces, your unique teaching magic. Join us to become a leader in your school, shaping the future of education with practical AI strategies. No prior experience with AI is required!

Robot Mini Golf for the Classroom

Ready to hit a hole-in-one with engagement? Build a thematic mini golf course with robots and explore Project Based Learning design with the Hummingbird Robotics Kit!


This PD course uses the Hummingbird Robotics Kit for a hands-on adventure in crafting, coding, and building. Adapt it to any subject and watch STEM learning and PBL merge through creative robotics! BYO hot glue gun, and we’ll supply the robot! Aligned to CSTA standards.
